Celebration: Design. Culture. Mexico.

Date: Sunday, April 19, 2015

Hours: 11am–6pm

Location: Boiler Room SF

Please join us for a special day to celebrate the world and work of Carla Fernández, maverick designer from Mexico. A force for design, and a force for change, she collaborates with highly skilled artisans (who are often the last remaining practitioners of indigenous techniques) to create cutting-edge designs that please the eye, the hand, and the soul. The show comes to us from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston and we’re lucky and thrilled to have it here at Heath. We’ve used the exhibit as a jumping off point to create ways to deeply explore Carla’s work and world through workshops, an extensive pop-up shop, and selection of goods and art curated by Carla, that brings together the best of Mexican art and design.

Explore Carla’s world, shop the pop-up, immerse yourself in the world of Mexican contemporary art and design, and grab a lunch or a snack at one of the food trucks serving great meals outside Heath.
